Diary of a Dairy Gluten free

If you follow my journey on Instagram, then you may have read a little about this years Dairy Gluten free journey. I received a lot positive feedback on that post, so I thought if it could bring encouragement to my blog readers too, then its my job to share it freely!:

If I have a community, whether that be 3 people or 3,000, I want to use my voice to speaks words of truth and love. I vowed to myself a while back that if sharing the #reallife not-so-pretty-struggles could encourage those around me, then with every fiber, count me in.
So what most people don’t know? about 8 months ago I had a drastic change in my life/ diet and up until now I’ve avoided sharing it.
In short: the last few years I’ve been experiencing various health problems. From one appointment to the next, to symptoms that don’t seem to connect, it’s been a tiring journey. Most days I feel too fatigued to take on more then one project..it’s draining; physically + emotionally. sometimes it feels like a never ending game of catch-up. And for a gal who appreciates the finer foods in life (and by finer I mean: the unhealthiest of foods) 😂🍦🍟😍🍕eliminating all Gluten, dairy and something more with each visit has been no easy task.

By no means am I sharing this for sympathy, it is really quit the opposite.
Recently it hit me: “what if your neighbor was going through the same thing..wouldn’t you want them to know you’re running the same race? what if that was just the thing they needed to keep moving forward?” For those of you who have experienced health issues similar or different— I wish I could give you a big ole Hug! I know the the exhaustion and complication it brings and I want you to know:
1. If you find yourself discouraged & need some uplifting, I’m your girl!
2. you are immeasurably more than the symptoms that weigh you down.
In the rat race of social media where everyone seems to have it all together, sharing this felt like burdening you quit honestly. For a while I looked at my health in a negative light. I would feel ashamed from time to time that this was a weakness I had little control over. And you know what? that is perfectly okay. We are not God, we are not suppose to have it all together..and isn’t that the beauty of it all? I’ve found a real sense of freedom in that. Lately the Lord has been tenderly reminding me that His power? is made perfect in MY weaknesses. That’s right…made perfect. In 2 Corinthians 12:9 it even goes on to say that we should boast all the more gladly in our weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest one us. Thank you Jesus! I am holding on tight to that truth💛

xoxo,

Hannah
