Where do I begin? A shoot like this deserves a proper introduction but i’m coming up short because this one BLEW ME AWAY. I know I know, I’m the photographer and I’m a *little* biased here, but this senior experience was one. for. the. books.
So what sets this one apart from all the rest?
I hear you! and the story? it’s a good one.
When I first started photographing senior portraits in the very early days of my business, I got the opportunity to work with one of my dear friends: Maggie and her bff Kit! They both grew up riding horses so it was only fitting that we incorporated them into the shoot. That session produced some of my favorite portraits of all time. I really haven’t stopped thinking about them to this day!
Now fast forward 3 years, and here I am getting the privilege of working with Kit’s sweet younger sister Jacey for HER senior portraits! crazy, right!? When Jacey messaged me I was practically dancing in excitement because I had been just itching for an excuse to visit Belle Grey Farms and see these sweet fury friends! Getting to work with Jacey was a dream!!!!! I really just adoreee this one. Jacey radiates joy and cultivates connection with those around her. She is kind, genuine, and always wearing that big contagious smile you’ll see all throughout her gallery; a true HSP Senior. This shoot took me out of my natural workflow and really inspired and pushed me creatively. It was so refreshing and really refueled me in the midst of this busy photography season. I hope you love these portraits as much as I do!!

shoutout to ransom jewelry for all the gorgeous jewels! i just started a collaboration with the lovely erica meurer of ransom to offer a high end boutique custom experience for my senior girls! they get to hand pick the jewelry they want to wear in the beginning of their session (earrings, necklaces, hand-chains, bracelets..etc) and then i style them up before we begin shooting. Safe to say my #HannahSmithSenior girls have been lovingggg it!
