This post is particularly exciting because not only did I get to capture a fun surprise proposal, but it just so happened to be for MY older brother Jesse and his sweet girlfriend! If there’s one aspect of my job I cherish most, it would have to be the way I’m welcomed into other peoples lives so regularly. Getting to know my #HSPcouples + their families, capturing their love, and sharing in these monumental moments alongside of them…it really doesn’t get better than that! I feel so honored to get to serve them in this way. And yes, as I’m sure you’ve guessed: I get so sappy grateful just thinking about it 😉
When Jesse started planning out this day we decided to take a trip to Georgetown to map it all out. We scouted out the italian restaurant they would dine at for dinner, then mapped out the path they would take that would lead them to the very spot he would propose down by the waterfront, and then the private boat we would celebrate on after. It was amazing seeing it all come to life last Saturday as me and my sister Rebekah camped out behind a bush waiting for the big moment to arrive. It was well worth the shady stares..which I fully accept, especially paired with that monster of a lens which had stalker written ALL over it (imagine that combo..in a bush). We wore that badge with honor.
It was so special getting to be in on the surprise and witness the joy and excitement throughout the evening. It couldn’t have been MORE perfect and I am so stinkin’ excited to have Bri as apart of the fam so soon <3
