OUR PROCESS
We're all for having a strong game plan around here, so to get us started, here is a summary of what you can expect our next steps to look like, sunshine!
1. Discovery call
After you inquire, we'll set up a discovery call to hear about your wedding plans + everything you're dreaming up (!!) we'll then chat about your specific photography needs and what coverage makes the most sense for your day.
After our call I will send over your proposal with a custom photography package that compliments your specific wedding needs. From there, you'll submit your wedding retainer and sign our contract to move forward and reserve your wedding date on my calendar.

Your retainer is paid, your date is locked in, and we are officially official and your bridal guide is on it's way to help with wedding prep!
5. engagement session
So much of authentic storytelling has to do with connection. For me to genuinely capture your love in a way that feels *like you* I have to get to know ya first! Engagement sessions are the perfect place for this + they help so much with shaking off the nerves (news flash: everyone has them!) of having your photos taken on your wedding day, because you're able to get comfortable with me and learn my shooting process beforehand. By the time the wedding day arrives, my clients feel more like friends and that creates a safe and relaxed environment for both of us to create on your wedding day! 10/10 recommend
6. timeline chat
About a month before your wedding, we will set up a time to go over your timeline and ensure that it aligns with both the flow of your day and your specific portrait needs.
4. bridal guide
Brides will receive a one-of-a-kind Hannah Smith Bridal Guide with 50+ pages of helpful information on what to wear for your engagement shoot, how to structure your timeline, how to prep for your big day and more!
7. pre-wedding
When we are just a few weeks from the big day I send out my pre-wedding questionnaire to collect any last minute details I'll need before the big day. That way, you can wake up on your wedding day entirely stress free and ready to marry the love of your life!

Frequently asked questions
will you travel for our wedding?
I love getting to travel for my couples wedding celebrations! I've been a bi-coastal wedding photographer girlie for the last 5 years and I travel for about 50% of my weddings each season. Share with me the travel details and I'll send over a custom destination package.
Do i need a second photographer?
I've shot countless weddings solo throughout the years and I'm confident in my ability to do so, however, for larger weddings or when couples are getting ready separately and the timeline doesn't allow me to be with them both, you will need a second photographer. We can dive into the nitty gritty and chat more about this option on our discovery call if you have questions about this!
When will I receive my photos?
You'll receive a sneak peek gallery within the first week of your wedding. Engagement photos are delivered within 2-3 weeks and weddings are delivered within 10 weeks. Each photo deserves to be intentionally cared for, so I will always make sure not to rush through them while editing.
how many images are included?
You can expect to receive 80-100 images per hour of coverage in your final gallery! the only photos I won't include are the ones you wouldn't want (people blinking, blurry, etc) I won't gatekeep any of the gems, I promise!
