Intimate Lynchburg Virginia Wedding
The anticipation leading up to this day WAS REAL. It had me so giddy with excitement…and by the way I talked about it, you would have thought I was photographing the royal family 😂LOL (celebrities in my book)
I think I knew it the moment I received their initial email inquiry…I remember how heartfelt their vision was, and the way it was paired with a certain level of sincerity & thoughtfulness to detail. As I got to know Liz and Tommy better this winter through their engagement session and hear more of their heart for this sweet day I knew in an instant: it was going to be exceptionally meaningful <– and honestly this use of “meaningful” feels like an understatement
It’s been one week since their wedding I am still riding the high from how joyful + life-giving their day was!!! Like it completely amazes me that my job allows me to create + foster friendships with some of the most incredible human beings through photography. I love this job and I am so grateful for it, but I think what I cherish most is the way it personally connects me with couples like Liz and Tommy who simply feel like a gift to know.
I’m not sure how to really start this post…there’s usually one particular moment of the day that really resonates with me/ tugs on my heart, but to quote my second shooter Ica, ” it’s like every moment just got more and more special as the day went on!” it couldn’t have been more true—-every moment felt sweeter than the last. Talk about an absolute dream day!
Here are a few special touches that gave my photographer soul all the heart eyes:
-The mountain view at glass hill’s venue
-Charlie the dog and his floral leash…GOALS
-The bride & groom (duh)
-the beautiful worship that took place during their ceremony
-Rookies dessert food truck (!!!!!!) I mean c’mon….
more than all of these things I think what really stood out to me was the community of loved ones by Liz & Tommy’s side there to cheer them on & celebrate them. I loved looking at the beautiful souls surrounding them because I think it’s such a testament to the type of people they are; radiating both light and life. I was so blessed to be apart of it. #HoweSweetitis
