Southern California Wedding Photographer | Intimate Mendocino Coast Wedding

There are some wedding days that pull a little something extra on the heart strings. For so many reasons this was one of them.

I’m not sure if Scott & Ginny knew this would happen…like it was all apart of their plan for me to fall in love with California when they brought me out here for their wedding or not…but it worked.

I loved that they decided to make a weekend retreat out of their destination wedding in Northern California. It was such an intentional experience because they thoughtfully handpicked the details they valued most and got to share that with the people they love in a place so dear to their hearts. (if you’re reading this in the midst of planning your wedding ⚠️ *THIS* is the stuff that matters most)

Is it possible to experience something that both takes your breath away and also puts fresh air back into your lungs?…I couldn’t shake how awake and energized I felt experiencing the beauty in this place and the beauty in the people I met along the way. It was enriching in every sense of the word. Funny I went to capture some special people in a place they love and in return this place & those people captured me. So grateful to be welcomed with open arms by Scott and Ginny and their incredible community of friends + family.

Here were some of my highlights from this trip:

⋒ Hiking the Mendocino headlands…good gosh I wish I could hike here every morning.

⋒ The welcome pizza dinner the first night everyone arrived followed by an incredible sunset 🤩🍕

⋒ Chef Erin and the @farmhandkitchen team spoiled us with the most amazing meal creations that were literally works of art. pretty sure this was me @ every meal: 🤤

⋒ Getting to know each one of the guests throughout the weekend was such an enriching experience for me. kind of had a summer camp feeling where I left on the last day hugging everyone goodbye that I met just a few days prior but felt so connected to after sharing such sweet experiences with. unforgettable.

Scott and Ginny gifted cozy blankets as their wedding favors and I LOVED this idea because:

1. who doesn’t love a good throw blanket?!

2. it’s so practical and was perfect for those chillier Mendocino evenings! it was a gift that was put to good use all throughout the wedding weekend

um…OKAY, wow!!!😍 Ginny you are absolutely stunning.

the most INCREDIBLE food…i’m still dreaming about it 4 months later😍
