Where are my desert wedding brides at? If you’re looking for a summer heat type of love then stop your scroll with today’s Paradise Valley wedding day. When Jen asked me if I would be up for flying out to Arizona for her and Ryan’s wedding celebration you *know* it only took a couple of seconds before I was replying back “tell me where and girl, i’m there! 💃”.
I photographed their engagement session back home in Virginia but due to covid restrictions and military orders they moved their wedding plans out west and had a destination wedding at the gorgeous El Chorro. I’ve dreamed about shooting there for years (like actually, probably over 5) since finding their venue on Instagram. It offers all the desert romantic vibes you could ask for and has personally become one of my favorite venues out west! I can’t wait for another chance to come back.🤍
Virginia and California summers are no joke so I am no stranger to hot wedding days but THIS ONE was hands down the HOTTEST wedding I’ve ever photographed. Bridesmaids lathering up with sunscreen right after applying make-up was a first for me. There wasn’t a cloud to cover us on from that Arizona summer heat yet there was still something SO refreshing about it all. No doubt it was the perfect combination of place + love.
El Chorro couldn’t have been a more dreamy setting to celebrate Ryan and Jen’s wedding day! Forever impressed by these two making 106 degrees look like nothing for their desert wedding.✨🌴 Rockstars in my book.
Jen + Ryan
The look. The FEELS.
Does every desert wedding need this backdrop? The only answer: yes!
xoxo, Hannah
